VIDIZMO is Web-Based and offered as a Software as a Service. Anyone can sign-up for the Web-based service at VIDIZMO and start using all features immediately. VIDIZMO is not a traditional “LMS”. It is a hosted environment for organizations to produce and broadcast their rich media learning content to their members, and evaluate results. For VIDIZMO in its current form, SCORM conformance is not relevant.

The Presentation however qualifies as a SCORM compliant “SCO” (sharable content object), with its constituent media contents qualifying as “Assets”. Campaigns in VIDIZMO qualify as “Aggregations”.

Because each Presentation is a Rich Internet Application, it consists of a “xaml” file with sequencing and instructions on how the player is to behave on quizzes and videos.

Mashup Player is an embeddable component that can run from any LMS (or any other) host, making the Presentations truly re-usable and Sharable Content Objects.

No, you do not need to install any software. VIDIZMO is a browser based interface and the following browsers are supported by it:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer on Windows
• Mozilla Firefox on Windows / Mac / Linux
• Google Chrome on Windows / Apple Mac / Linux
• Apple Safari on Windows / Mac

Note: All you need to install is a free browser plug-in for Microsoft Silverlight.

Ability to natively playback standards-compliant H.264/AAC files in MP4 containers, including .f4v files, as well as m4v, mov, and 3gp. Content from other formats can also be transcoded into formats that are supported by Silverlight via Expression Encoder or a wide range of Windows Media compatible third-party encoding solutions.
• Audio: MP3 and WMA are supported at this time. Support for other formats will be added soon.

• Documents: PowerPoint, Word, and XPS format files
• Captions: Designed using Mashup Studio’s built-in captions creator

Yes, you can use media content available anywhere on the web just by providing its URL. The links to the external media content files (videos, sounds, images) must contain the actual filename in the URL. E.g. http://www.mymedia.com/videos/myvideo.wmv and http://www.mymedia.com/images/myimage.jpg are valid, whereas a link such as http://www.mymedia.com/videos.aspx?itemid=1234 is not supported.

Every content which is uploaded through VIDIZMO application is saved on Windows Azure CDN and also served from there.

At VIDIZMO, Presentations can be private, public or sellable.

Private Presentations: By default, all published Presentations are private and only viewable by the Channel’s authorized Viewer. A Channel Administrator may either invite Viewers to join a Channel or distribute “Channel Key”. Anyone registering via “Channel Key” must be approved by the Administrator before actually viewing a Channel.

Public Presentations: A Presentation can be declared public during publishing process. A Public Presentations URL may be freely distributed and will not require login while being viewed. A Public Presentation may also be defined as a “Featured” Presentation. All Featured Presentations appear on a Channel’s Home page i.e ChanneName.VIDIZMO. These Public and Featured Presentations can be viewed by any anonymous user on your ChannelName.VIDIZMO.

Sellable Presentations: Seller’s at VIDIZMO may choose to publish a “Presentation Preview” in Marketplace. “Presentations Previews” in Marketplace are viewable by any VIDIZMO anonymous user.

Channel Key is a unique key provided to you when you create a new VIDIZMO channel. Viewers interested in joining your Channel at VIDIZMO will require this Channel key. However, request to join your channel can be made without a key by anyone visiting your Channel home page. All Channel Viewing requests will be approved by you as the Channel Administrator before they can sign in and view the complete Presentations in your Channel. If you forget this key, you can access the key at the Channel Details section in Settings menu of your Channel.

No, changing a computer does not affect your Presentations. In fact, you can view the Presentations from any computer as long as you have user authorization and are connected to the internet.

All languages are supported within Presentations through Voice Over, Close Captions (CC) and within Presentations (PowerPoint). However, certain other features do not allow multiple languages at this time.

Yes, you can issue Viewing Certificates using VIDIZMO. A viewer may be issued a Certificate based on viewing completion or Quiz pass/fail status.

SCORM Compliant VIDIZMO provides tools to produce, broadcast and evaluate. Currently, content created at VIDIZMO cannot be exported to any LMS. However, VIDIZMO content can be launched from any SCORM compliant LMS system via our embeddable player.
