Can I try VIDIZMO Add-Ons during my free trial period?
VIDIZMO Add-Ons may require manual steps to install software in customer environments. This is only feasible during a customer paid pilot program. If you are interested in conducting a live trial session, please contact your VIDIZMO sales representative to schedule a demonstration for you.
My free trial has expired, how can I continue using VIDIZMO?
For uninterrupted use of VIDIZMO, you are required to purchase a VIDIZMO Subscription package. However, if your situation demands an extended trial, you can submit request with your requirement to your VIDIZMO sales representative at least one week before your trial period expires. You will be notified as soon as your request is approved.
Do I need to download and install any software during my free trial account?
No, you don’t need to download any VIDIZMO software. VIDIZMO is a 100% browser based application supported by all new generation browsers. Please check VIDIZMO Service Specification page for details.

What is a Cloud?
Cloud computing is a general term for anything that involves delivering hosted services over the Internet. A Cloud service has three distinct characteristics that differentiate it from traditional hosting. It is sold on demand, typically by the minute, by the hour or per user; it is elastic -- a user can have as much or as little of a service as they want at any given time; and the service is fully managed by the provider (the consumer needs nothing but a personal computer and Internet access).
What is VIDIZMO Cloud?
VIDIZMO Cloud is a model in which VIDIZMO software is completely hosted in the Cloud and accessible via internet. Customers can subscribe to VIDIZMO Cloud on monthly and yearly basis and do not have to worry about installing or maintaining any software on their computers or on their servers.
What is VIDIZMO Hybrid?
VIDIZMO Hybrid uses combination of VIDIZMO Cloud and one or more VIDIZMO Add-Ons installed on customer provided environments to meet their specific needs. These Add-Ons integrate VIDIZMO Cloud with Business IT Infrastructure to provide single sign-on and connectivity with other line of business applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, CRM etc. Customer’s IT Dept. maintains control of Add-Ons while VIDIZMO provides yearly maintenance and support in addition to maintaining and managing VIDIZMO Cloud. This allows customers to leverage best of the both worlds, keep costs low while maintaining required control.
What is VIDIZMO On-Premises?
VIDIZMO installed on customer supplied environment is known as VIDIZMO On-Premises. Typically, VIDIZMO On-Premises is managed and maintained by the customer’s IT staff under a one to three year maintenance contract with VIDIZMO. VIDIZMO maintenance contracts are available as standard and premium maintenance contracts. Standard contract provides minor upgrades and critical bug fixes while premium maintenance contract provides one major upgrade every year along with all minor upgrades.

Would I need any expertise to use VIDIZMO?
Basic computer skills such as ability to login and launch browser is required to view VIDIZMO presentations. However, to author presentations you should have experience creating Powerpoint presentations or use tools like Movie Maker, iMovie etc. Ability to record video using a simple camera, video upload and video editing capabilities are certainly a plus.
How secure is VIDIZMO?
VIDIZMO uses https to communicate and interact with its users including viewers and authors for ultimate security thus protecting all information exchange between user and VIDIZMO through SSL. VIDIZMO presentations can be protected by only allowing access to registered users having a login ID and password.
 

Publishing VIDIZMO Presentation
What are digital assets?
Any content used to create a VIDIZMO presentation is referred to as Digital Asset within VIDIZMO. Digital Assets include video, sound, images, captions, closed captions, documents, branch-able quizzes & surveys. This includes all other file types uploaded into VIDIZMO to be attached as download-able items within presentations.
What is a VIDIZMO presentation?
A VIDIZMO presentation consists of various digital assets such as video, sound, images, captions, closed captions, file attachments to provide as downloads, documents, branch-able quizzes & surveys. These digital assets are synchronized to play back in an order and sequence either in a single or two panes player. Interactivity within VIDIZMO presentations is provided using branch-able quizzes, polls , surveys and click-able objects. These presentations are created using web based VIDIZMO Studio.

Where are my digital assets and VIDIZMO presentations stored?
If you are using VIDIZMO Cloud, your digital assets & VIDIZMO presentations, collectively known as content are stored into your VIDIZMO account on the Cloud. VIDIZMO uses Windows Azure Cloud Operating system to store and serve all your content through superfast Microsoft Datacenters, providing scalability and cost effectiveness. If you are using a VIDIZMO Hybrid or VIDIZMO VIDIZMO On-Premises then your content may reside inside your firewall or on the Cloud depending on your requirements and configuration.
How do I upload digital assets and is there a limit on storage space?
You can upload your digital assets using your browser by logging in your VIDIZMO Channel and selecting “Upload Content” or using VIDIZMO Publisher. You can also upload digital assets while authoring presentations with VIDIZMO Studio. Your VIDIZMO Cloud account comes with standard storage space; please check your VIDIZMO Subscription Plan for storage space available to you. You will be billed monthly for the storage in excess to allowed limits. However if you are using VIDIZMO Hybrid or VIDIZMO On-Premises and have opted to store content on your own servers then these limits are in your control.
How can I author and publish VIDIZMO on-demand presentation?
VIDIZMO on-demand presentations can be created using desktop VIDIZMO Publisher for Windows/Mac and web based VIDIZMO Studio.
Can I use free content on the internet within my presentation?
Yes, simply use “Link” option in content library to link external digital assets that may be located anywhere on the internet and can be publically accessed using a URL. The links to the external media files (videos, sounds, images) must contain the actual filename in the URL. For example http://www.mymedia.com/videos/myvideo.wmv and http://www.mymedia.com/images/myimage.jpg are valid, whereas a link such as http://www.mymedia.com/videos.aspx?itemid=1234 is not supported.
Can I insert multiple videos within a presentation?
Yes, you can add as many videos as you want. You can stitch together multiple videos serially. Using more than two parallel playing videos in a presentation is not recommended since it can distract viewers and also downgrade the performance and speed of your processor.
How do I synchronize video with PowerPoint?
VIDIZMO Studio allows you to synchronize video with PowerPoint and publish it for playback by viewers.
Does VIDIZMO support closed captions?
Yes – VIDIZMO support multiple closed captions in any number of languages within a presentation.
How would I create closed captions in VIDIZMO?
There are several tools and services to create closed caption files, for example Subtitle Workshop, Jubler , Universal Subtitle. You can use these tools to generate closed captions in SMI file format and import it in VIDIZMO Studio to associate it with a video. VIDIZMO Player will use closed caption information to display closed captions in selected language.
What encoding software or hardware is recommended?
You can use Microsoft Expression Encoder (Both free and paid versions are available) and Hand brake (free). VIDIZMO also offers Cloud encoding service and On-premises encoding solutions, please contact your VIDIZMO sales representative for further details.
What is the recommended video format to be used in VIDIZMO presentations?
MPEG 4 is the recommended format to support VIDIZMO universal playback across Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Phone 7. Please see Service Specification for specific details.
Can I limit access to presentations within my channel?
Yes – You can limit access of presentation to local channel users only.
How do I limit user access to certain presentation?
You can publish presentation without giving any rights to your channel users and later selectively assign rights to selected users. To do this, uncheck “Anonymous viewers” and “Local Channel Users” check boxes from presentation properties dialog box and publish presentation without any rights. Once local channel access rights have been removed, you can assign rights to individual users, go to: Presentation->Manage Presentation. Click on library tab and then choose a presentation. On the right pan click assign rights link, on the next page select a user, and then click on Define Rights button.
Can I join more than one channel on VIDIZMO?
Yes, you can join multiple channels concurrently. If you are part of multiple channels, you will be provided list of your channels upon login. At this time, you can select a channel to set as your default or simply select a channel to start using it.
Can I embed my presentation on any other website?
Yes, you can embed your video presentations on any web page on any web site, for details checkout our blog .
How do I conduct a live webcast, webinar or town hall meeting?
VIDIZMO Live Presenter and Recorder with VIDIZMO Encoder Appliance provides you the ultimate reliable solution to conduct live sessions for any purpose. To create and schedule a live session,launch VIDIZMO Studio, select live studio, live source and expected duration. Now you can select the slides that you would share during your live presentation and schedule this live Session.
What is a live streaming profile?
A live streaming profile is a live video stream Source configured in your VIDIZMO Channel. If you have just received a new VIDIZMO Account then you will have to configure your own live streaming source.
How do I create a live Streaming Profile?
VIDIZMO requires additional hardware or software to conduct a live video session. To identify video capture and encoding devices available to VIDIZMO Live Presenter & Recorder, you must first create live source profiles within VIDIZMO. Please login as Administrator or Author, go to “Settings | Manage live Source Profiles” and click on “Create a New Profile”. For reliability, VIDIZMO recommends using VIDIZMO Encoder Appliance to use with VIDIZMO live Presenter & Recorder.Software choices to capture and encode video include Microsoft Expression Encoder, Wirecast and any other software supporting windows media streaming. Is there a limit of number of live viewers during a webcast, webinar or a town hall meeting?
No – There is no limit. VIDIZMO uses industry’s leading Content Delivery Networks (CDN) to ensure smooth viewing experience for your viewers across all devices including Windows, Mac, iPad, iPhone, Android, Windows Phone 7.5 etc. VIDIZMO uses peer to peer CDN such as Ignite to offer smooth viewing experience within an enterprise.
What is the minimum bandwidth required for live Video?
512 KBPS is minimum recommended bandwidth to view live streaming.
 

Playing a VIDIZMO Presentation
Which devices are supported for playback?
VIDIZMO presentations can be played back on a Windows XP/Vista/ 7+, Apple Mac OS X 10.4.11+ (Intel-based), and Mobile devices with HTML5 support such as iPad, iPhone, Android and Windows Phone 7. VIDIZMO recommends Silverlight 4+ browser plug-for optimal and full featured viewing experience.
Can I play video presentations on mobile devices?
Yes. List includes iPhone/iPad, Android, Windows 7.5 as well as on mobile phones that support HTML5 or Flash player. However uploaded videos have to be in MP4 format.
Can I download VIDIZMO presentations?
Only if the author of presentation has made it available for download. A downloaded presentation can be played without an internet connection.
How can I report abusive content?
You can report abusive or offensive content by clicking on the “Report as Abusive” button in the VIDIZMO Player window and indicate the reason of abuse.
 

Branding
What is a white label product or service?
A white label product or service is a product or service produced by one company (the producer) that other companies (the marketers) rebrand to promote their own brand instead of producer’s.
Can I buy white label VIDIZMO?
Yes – All VIDIZMO’s deployment models (VIDIZMO Cloud, VIDIZMO Hybrid, VIDIZMO On-Premises) are available as white labeled offering.
Can I use my own domain name for my VIDIZMO Cloud?
Yes – You can use your own domain name to access your VIDIZMO Channel instead of channelname.VIDIZMO.com. Please contact your VIDIZMO sales representative for further details.
What is VIDIZMO Channel branding?
VIDIZMO Channel branding allows channel administrators to add a customized background, change background colors, add logos to brand their channel and match it with their corporate branding.
 

Viewing Completion Certificates
Can I issue certificates upon successful viewing completions?
Certificates are automatically issued to the viewers by VIDIZMO upon successful viewing completion of a VIDIZMO presentation based on passing criteria defined by the presentation author. Successful viewing criteria may be simply viewing a presentation from end to end or may include single choice, multiple choice branch-able quizzes and polls.
What types of quiz reports are available?
Quiz statics report and quiz attempt report provide you in depth information regarding attempted quizzes with detailed responses provided during viewer interaction. To check these reports, please go to Analytics > View Quiz Attempts Report and Analytics > View Quiz Statics Report.
Where is my viewing completion certificate?
Certificates are automatically issued when a user has met the successful viewing completion criteria already set by the Author. To find your certificate, please go to My Reports > My Presentations Views Statistics and you will be presented with list of presentations viewed by you. If you have successfully completed a presentation, “Completed” Column will have a certificate icon.
Can I print viewing completion certificate?
Yes – You can print viewing completion certificate.
 

Integration with Line of Business Applications and IT Infrastructure
Can I use my enterprise login credentials to access VIDIZMO?
VIDIZMO ID Connector provides integration of directory services such as Active Directory (AD) or LDAP with your VIDIZMO Channel. This integration allows you to login into VIDIZMO Channel using your corporate username and password.
Can I integrate VIDIZMO with my line of business applications?
Yes – VIDIZMO provides out of the box VIDIZMO Add-Ons to integrate with industry’s leading line of business applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, CRM, Lync, GoToMeeting, Web Ex, Moodle, LMS, Jive and other Content Management Systems including Facebook, LinkedIn etc. Rest API support and Professional Services are also available to build a custom integration for your needs.
Does VIDIZMO offer an API?
Yes – VIDIZMO provides  API to build your own Add-Ons. Professional Services  are also available to build custom solutions that integrate with your applications. Please contact your VIDIZMO sales representative for details.
Does VIDIZMO offer solution for network congestion and bandwidth issues?
Yes – VIDIZMO CDN Connector addresses network congestion and bandwidth issues faced by your internal (behind firewall) and external (internet) viewers in various scenarios. If you plan to install VIDIZMO On-Premises and would like to stream content on public network, you will need a CDN Connector to provide smooth viewing experience to your viewers. In  another scenario, you may be using VIDIZMO Cloud or VIDIZMO Hybrid with a large number of  VIDIZMO users situated within a couple of buildings causing network congestion issues. CDN Connector will cache Cloud content at each location and all subsequent requests will be served locally. This will save huge bandwidth costs while providing smooth viewing experience to viewers inside these buildinngs.
Can I import SCORM content in VIDIZMO?
You cannot currently import SCORM content into VIDIZMO. However, this may change in future.
Which SCORM version does VIDIZMO support?
VIDIZMO exports its content in SCORM Version 1.4 format.
Is VIDIZMO , SCORM compliant?
Yes – VIDIZMO presentations are SCORM compliant. Exported SCORM object from VIDIZMO can later be imported into any LMS (Learning Management System) that supports SCORM.
 

User Management
How does VIDIZMO define a “User” for its licensing?
Any user registered in your VIDIZMO account with “Active Status” within a given billing month is considered as a VIDIZMO user and consumes a user license. Users can be activated and deactivated from user management console within your VIDIZMO Account. A user can be an Author or a Viewer.
How do I add users in my Channel?
You can login as Author, select “Users” menu and select invite new users. You will have ability to provide email address and a private message for your users as a part of your invitation. Users must accept your invitation before they can become part of your channel. You can also include new users when starting a campaign. These new users will automatically be added to your channel as they accept invitation.
What is VIDIZMO Viewer?
A VIDIZMO Viewer can view presentations available to them for viewing.
What is VIDIZMO Author?
VIDIZMO Author has the ability to upload digital assets, create and manage VIDIZMO presentations, users, campaigns and access dashboards, certificates reports and analytics.
How can I invite users to watch a presentation?
VIDIZMO campaigns provide a convenient method to invite a group of viewers to watch a group of presentations within a given timeframe. VIDIZMO Authors can create and run campaigns. An Author can run any number of concurrent campaigns.
Can I measure campaign success rate?
VIDIZMO offers graphs and reports to measure campaign effectiveness and also compares it with other campaigns.
Does VIDIZMO offer courses, classes or training management?
VIDIZMO Campaigns are used to create and manage course, class or training management.
What is 'My Viewing Plan'?
Every VIDIZMO user has a 'My Viewing Plan'. It lists all presentations assigned to the user by Author for viewing.
What is a channel key?
Channel key is an access code to your VIDIZMO Channel. Anyone interested in joining your channel will need this key. To access your 'channel key', go to Settings menu scroll down and choose Update Channel Details.

Does VIDIZMO provide social media capabilities?
VIDIZMO Player provides ability to share VIDIZMO presentation with your friends and groups on Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter .
Can I add VIDIZMO as application on Facebook?

Video Analytics
What type of video analytics is provided by VIDIZMO?
VIDIZMO provides in depth information about each user, presentation and campaign. Who watched, what was watched, when it was watched and how much was it watched.
Can I export video analytics data out of VIDIZMO?
Yes, tracking data can be exported to different format such as PDF, XLS, TIFF, CSV and other. Every report gives you option to export data in its view.
 

VIDIZMO Cloud & Hybrid Subscription
Who is a Content Author?
Authors can publish live and on-demand presentations, conduct webinars & webcasts .They have administrative privileges and can invite, approve users, view usage, user reports and perform other administrative functions.
Who is a Registered user?
Registered users are issued credentials to login into the channel. They can watch content assigned to them; they can also watch content available for channel users only. Registered Users are also issue completions certificates on successful viewing completions.
Who is an Anonymous viewer?
Anonymous viewers can only access publically accessible channel content as they do not have credentials to login into a channel.
What are Viewing hours?
Viewing hours are the total time consumed by users viewing content in a channel including registered users, anonymous viewers, authors and administrators. For example, 40 viewing hours can be consumed by 10 users each to watch 4 hours of presentation or by 40 users each to watch 1 hour of video presentations. Viewing hours are calculated approximately based on SD quality video (512 Kbps).
What is Storage?
Storage space is required to host content uploaded by you. This content is used to create presentations and serve them to your viewers.
What happens if I go over my monthly viewing limit?
Your presentations keep playing. You will be billed for excess viewing hours beyond your monthly allowed limit at $20 per every 20 viewing hours (10GB) at average. Please contact us for volume discounts.
Do you offer custom subscription plans?

Can I purchase additional viewing hours and storage?
